Annual Quilted Keepsakes Quilt Show

  The DeWitt County Museum Association is pleased to announce that the annual “Quilted Keepsakes” quilt show will take place throughout the month of June (June 1st - June 30th) at the C.H. Moore Homestead DeWitt County Museum. Featured quilts exhibited throughout the Victorian mansion will include antique examples from the museum’s collection as well as vintage and contemporary loaned pieces from private collections. The quilts can be viewed during regular museum and gift shop hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 10am-5pm and 1pm-5pm on Sundays. Admission, which includes the house tour, quilt show, carriage barn, farm museum, covered bridge, gardens and grounds, is $5 for adults, $2 for ages 12-18 and ages 11 and under free. DeWitt County Museum Association members (as well as their guest where applicable) are also admitted at no charge. Good Old Summertime Event

On the afternoon of Sunday, July 23rd, from 1:30-3:00pm, the C.H. Moore Homestead DeWitt County Museum Association will be welcoming The Tea Ladies once more as they present the program, Good Old Summertime at the C.H. Moore Homestead DeWitt County Museum. Dressed in Victorian era clothing, the ladies will take their audience back in time to experience the merriment of favorite summer pastimes, fashions, and customs. 

  Proceeds from this special event will benefit the museum. Tickets are $25 each and also include admission to the Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social which will begin on the museum grounds at 3:30pm. Tickets may be purchased at the museum or credit card orders can be placed by calling 217-935-6066.

Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social

  Enjoy an Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social on the afternoon of July 23rd at the C.H. Moore Homestead DeWitt County Museum in Clinton, Illinois. This family-friendly event will take place from 3:30-5pm. Old-fashioned ice cream, home-baked pies and cakes, and refreshing tea and lemonade will be served. Entertainment will be provided by Andrew, "Victorian Magician Extraordinaire," who will perform an old-time magic show on the front porch and stroll the grounds while amazing young and old with his magic tricks. 

  Admission is $5.00. Children ages 5 years and younger will be admitted free. This special event will be hosted by the DeWitt County Museum Association and all proceeds from admissions and donations will go to support the C.H. Moore Homestead DeWitt County Museum.
